Well, I thought I had this installed but for the life of me it sure doesn't look like it's running. I checked the logs and don't see a thing about antics in it. Anyone that has installed this on a server and can help me? Your time would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

http://www.users.on.net/~dehav/TV/Server%20files/antics_v3.zip

Extract both files to your servers Bin directory and then set the IRC options in the ini file if you want IRC notifications.

Open up your Servers config ini and under [Engine.GameEngine] add ServerPackages=antics_v3 under the other ServerPackages lines...

then in your command target line to start your server add mutator=antics_v3.antics eg

beta_dedicated_server.exe MP-Arid?game=GameClasses.ModeCTF?maxplayers=20?AdminName=admin?AdminPassword=adminpass?mutator=antics_v3.antics

Peacekeeper has also written a guide that may be of some help:

well, my server is hosted on wolfservers and I don't have access to the server startup line unless it's store in a file somewhere.

Well, in that case, you can load antics from in game.

After you have setup your configuration inis, simply fire up T:V and connect to your server. Then, log in as admin, and open your console. Type:

admin switch mp-arid?mutator=antics_v3.antics

That would switch the map to Arid, enabling antics.

Will it stay on for each map after that or will it need to be done each and every map?

Thanks for your help. :)

We have a wolf server. Mouse does most of our server maintenance. As in loading antics/maps/vanila and so on. You DO have access to everything. They will work with you on this. They did for us.
If needed contact mouse:
#nxa or
www.nxaclan.com (post or pm him)

*EDIT*
He is on west coast so sometimes he looks like he is mIRC but he isnt...hehe

Still can't get this to work. Not sure what is up. We have the command line set to MP-Isle?maxplayers=32?-server ini=Server.ini log=Server.log multihome=66.135.37.33 port=8888?mutator=antics_v3.antics -server

I followed all the instructions in Peacekeepers how to instal.

When I login as admin in TV and use the showlog command antics isn't listed. I thought I was missing it so I downloaded the server.log file and did a search for anitics and the only place it finds this word is in the command line. It's just not there. Any ideas? It also doesn't seem to be loading anymore when I do a command line switch with antics while in tribes. I dono what's happened.

yeh that won't work, couple mistakes...pop the mutator= after the maxplayers, also it's -ini= not -server ini=, so...

MP-Isle?maxplayers=32?mutator=antics_v3.antics -ini=Server.ini -log=Server.log -server

not sure about the multihome line, maybe someone who uses that can help but the port setting can be added in your Server.ini under

[URL]
Port=

Yeah, actually, the multiline doesn't work in T:V in the command line.

Hmm, well I got the command line changed to what you suggested, but when I try to connect to the server I get the loadiing server/map screen and the bar at the bottom almost reaches the end and it just sits there. TV is pretty much locked up at that point. Any ideas?

Also, where is the ban list kept for TV? Where can I look at the list?

If your server locks up at that point, it is likely trying to load antics, but cannot locate it in your server configuration file. Make sure your server ini has:

ServerPackages=antics_v3

This should be placed at the bottom of all other ServerPackage lines under [Engine.GameEngine].

Do note that you cannot edit your server ini while the server is running. If you do, your server will overwrite the changes you made. So, you need to be sure to add that line when the server is offline.

That should take care of it.

yep, that fixed it. I had put it in the file that Peacemaker has in his install instrucitons. :) When I went in this time it started the antics dl.

Where can I look at the banned players list? Thanks again for all your help.
