I heard from a friend something about dmz mode? And also I remember seeing this in some map called glacier03 or sumthing like that, but there was an assault ship outside of the barrier that had a deployable turret in it, but the deployable turret inside was shooting AA rounds and had no health, those could be used as obstacles throughout the course.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;And for scoring I was thinking something like the fuel mod, You would pick up containers of fuel or something like that, and would have to go all the way back to the starting point to dump the **fuel** back to your teams **depot** &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;While all of this is going on, the vehicles can attack each other and once destroyed, have to respawn back at the start and start over, once the vehicle is destroyed the **fuel** will be floating around and be free to be taken. And to even it out, the smaller vehicle like the fight would be more agile but having a weaker shot and less health, where as an assault ship would have more health and a stronger shot, but be less agile. &lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;It's just an idea I got and decided to throw out&lt;/P&gt;

If so i think a practise mode would come in very handy. Since the "towers" are spawned at random at the beginning of the map, it will be possible that a team has not only just a majority of the towers on their side of the map, but possibly all.&amp;nbsp; To counter this, I would like to see a spawn system similar to the team rabbit where you spawn within 100-150 meters of the tower (selecting which tower to spawn at similar to a CTF map with multiple spawn points).&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;2. The 5 second cap timer is too long, especially when team sizes get to be large.&amp;nbsp; It becomes nearly impossible to take a point with multiple people defending one objective.&amp;nbsp; I suggest making the towers switches so it's instant.&amp;nbsp; if you don't make it an instant switch, please remove the "X team is capturing" and "X is contested" announcer ***.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;3. Repair turret repair beam from the tower to slowly heal defenders who are nearby?&amp;nbsp; This won't really be a good means of keeping healed during a fight, but mainly to regain some health after a fight when respawning isnt an option.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;4. No heavies?&amp;nbsp; if you do follow #1, i suggest you take out heavies as spawning so close in heavy armor would be very imbalanced since you could just spawn and spam mortars to clear.&amp;nbsp; possibly allow heavy armor if the person runs back to his base to suitup and then has to run back to the tower.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;5. Point acceleration.&amp;nbsp; Either similarly to WoW (arathi basin): when you have all 5 points tapped on your side, points accumulate much faster, or make a tower's points per second increase the longer a team holds that point.&amp;nbsp; The main strat otherwise would be to give up 2 points to the enemy, hold 2 for yourself and fight over the 5th point all game.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;6. almost forgot, make the color of the tower on the minimap/command map coorespond to the team who has control over it.&lt;br&gt;</description></item><item><title>Future Projects?</title><link>http://www.rapher.net/tribes/forums/973/ShowPost.aspx</link><pubDate>Wed, 09 May 2007 04:02:05 GMT</pubDate><guid isPermaLink="false">71f71a07-a2fc-4c82-a8ba-4fdad4dd4d7b:973</guid><dc:creator>zer0*</dc:creator><slash:comments>1</slash:comments><description>I know, some may laugh, LOL FUTURE T:V LOL.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I'd still like to improve on the game while we have a community that's interested.&amp;nbsp; I don't know how feasible this all is, but these are just some ideas:&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;1) script that automatically starts demo record when countdown ends (tourney mode), and shuts off at end of match&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;*2) fix the problem where the "receiving files" status box doesn't show when you use redirect/compressed maps&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;*3) easier voting system, sort of like UT2Vote (http://www.proasm.com/ut/ut2vote.html)&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;check out the screenshot, it was a nice system.&amp;nbsp; i even contacted the lead developer, he was helping me try to port it over to T:V with no luck (this was before much of the knowledge we have now, back in '04-05).&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;*4) fix the serverlogo script that byte made.&amp;nbsp; would help displaying rules, admins, websites to get maps, etc it's buggy and causes alot of the corrupt game file errors to pop up when used&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;5) enhance webadmin, i remember byte saying he was working on Reserved Slots and all other sorts of stuff&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;these are just food for thought.&amp;nbsp; just lil minute details i've been pondering lately.&amp;nbsp; in anticipation for rapher's big release, i'd just like to throw in a few ideas that might keep the bang going a lil longer.&lt;br&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
